FAQs
What is the difference between a real estate agent licence and a full real estate licence?
A real estate agent licence is the minimum requirement to work as an assistant agent in the real estate industry in Australia. It allows you to perform tasks such as property inspections, marketing, and showing properties to prospective buyers or tenants, under the supervision of a licensed real estate agent. A full real estate licence is the next level of qualification, which enables you to work independently as a real estate salesperson, property manager, or real estate practice owner. It also allows you to supervise and train other agents, and to operate your own agency.
How can I obtain a real estate agent licence or a full real estate licence?
You can obtain a real estate agent licence or a full real estate licence by completing the relevant courses offered by the National Real Estate Learning (NREL). The courses are nationally recognised and delivered online. The courses cover the essential knowledge and skills required for the real estate industry, such as legislation, contracts, ethics, lone worker safety, communication, marketing, sales, and property management. You can also choose to enrol in priority grading, which allows you to get your course graded quicker than the standard timeframes.
